Kentucky Rebel Scum Hot Sorghum is our newest variety of KRS.
Hot Sorghum begins with the same fermented pepper blend, Cider Vinegar, and Bourbon as KRS Original, then we add real Sorghum Syrup for a sweet and spicy unique flavor. Similar to hot honey in sweetness and heat, but with so much more flavor, KRS Hot Sorghum is a sauce everyone will enjoy, even those who don’t usually do hot sauce.
KRS Hot Sorghum starts with forward sweetness, followed with a combination of the earthy, caramel like flavors of Sorghum Syrup mixed with the bourbon and bold Kentucky Rebel Scum flavor, and finishes and a mild, lingering sweet heat at the end. Hot Sorghum makes an excellent dipping sauce, our daughter eats all our stock and calls it Grown Up Nuggie Sauce.
Hot Sorghum also goes great as a finishing sauce on grilled chicken and pork. And the simple treat of a fresh buttermilk biscuit slathered with real butter and drizzled with Hot Sorghum is about as good as it gets.
During the Civil War, the South was under naval blockade by the Union, making importation of Caribbean cane sugar & molasses expensive & scarce. Southern farmers grew sorghum for syrup as an ersatz, which helped ensconce sweet sorghum in Southern food culture.
I honestly thought Hot Sorghum was the GREATEST Hot Sauce EVER…but I was wrong, the sample bottle of Devil’s Sorghum is UNREAL! KRS are Hot Sauce Gods!

Beautiful balance of flavors, twang of cider vinegar, sweetness from the Sorghum, a tinge of heat from the Chili Peppers, and enough tomato and spices to round it all out!!! Well done!!!
Love it. As a kid that grew up eating sorghum hot from the end of the pan. And as an adult that digs hot sauce, the marriage of the two is fantastic. Be ordering (or picking up locally) again in the near future.

Hot Sorghum is my new ‘ketchup.’ I’ve begun hiding the Hot Sorghum in the fridge when I open a fresh bottle. But the fam is finding my hiding places. May need small dorm-type fridge with lock on it. I know everyone keeps saying it is the best ever. They are most definitely correct. I ordered 3 and received a Blueberry Skirmish sample. Super hard to pick which is the best. Original is over the top good. Stonewall Jerkson, Hot Sourgum and Blueberry Skirmish are above above that. The bite of all is the best. More orders on the way.

I thought the Original was fantastic, but this completely raised the bar. This stuff is downright divine. Every bite is incredible, and it's easily one of the best I've had. 10/10 stars without hesitation—I’ll be keeping this in my pantry from now on.

Really impressed with this one, bought as a secondary "I'll try it" bottle. Flavor is consistent and balanced throughout. A lot of sweet heat sauces are one flavor and then the next, this one has both all the way through. Texture is also very smooth, a little thinner than a tomato bbq sauce. Will definitely be buying more Sorghum!
