Kentucky Rebel Scum Blackberry Skirmish is our second variety of KRS.
Blackberry Skirmish starts with the same fermented pepper blend, Cider Vinegar, and Bourbon as KRS Original, then we add a touch of real blackberry puree for a unique flavor that goes with your food rather than covering it up. A mild to medium heat, similar to a Cayenne hot sauce in Scovilles, that brings some heat but won’t leave you in pain.
KRS Blackberry Skirmish starts with pepper and bourbon flavor with sweet/tart undertones, followed with blackberry flavor and a lingering heat at the end. It can be used as an everyday sauce, as many customers love it on their eggs. Mix with real butter for a truly unique Wing sauce. Blackberry Skirmish is great as a marinade and glaze for grilled and roasted meats, and especially fantastic on Pork.

It’s a great sauce. (2nd favorite, KRS original is 1st). I like Blackberry Skirmish especially with chicken and pork loin.. I also enjoy following the process on X from the time the idea was presented all the way through the present as the company expands and thrives.
An excellent blackberry hotsauce for sure. It goes well on so many things that you would not expect. Specifically have really been liking it on carnitas pork.
One of my favorite sauces is Fischer Raspberry Chipotle, so that’s what my taste buds were geared up for, based on the name. The Blackberry Skirmish has a good heat levelI. It has a more tart than sweet taste and the blackberry wasn’t berry enough for my personal taste, but it mixes great with sweeter sauces to tone down their sweetness and add a more complex depth of flavor overall.
Incredibly delicious. It goes great on lots of things but putting it on a pulled pork barbecue sandwich takes it to another level. I don't think I can live without this sauce now. KRS ruined me 😂

To be honest, I’m rather new to non-corporate-ran hot sauce monopolies, so I’m coming into the Blackberry Skirmish from someone who uses like a bottle of Tabasco every couple weeks.
This is great sauce. It’s got that taste of blackberry but with pepper. The flavors of the berry and pepper come through, and the heat is there long enough for you to notice but so long as to overstay it’s welcome.
It’s great on my morning eggs and hash, great on chicken, steak, pork. Still need to try it on seafood, but I expect it will exceed expectations there too.

All of KRS sauces are awesome but if I had to pick a favorite it would be Blackberry Skirmish. An array of flavors as soon as it hits the palate followed by a nice even heat, leaving your mouth watering for the next bite!
